Community Cooking Sessions
As the social component of Al Manakh Spaces program, cooking sessions have become a central way of bringing the community together. Building on the Hands in the Soil workshops, participants harvested some of the first produce grown at the bio-farm. Naturally, the next step was to go to the kitchen and share meals around the harvest.
Each session invited participants to prepare a dish featuring at least one farm-grown ingredient. These dishes carried personal meaning—whether a cherished family recipe, a meal from one’s homeland, or simply a favourite food. In the process, participants exchanged not just ingredients and cooking techniques, but also cultural traditions of preparation, serving, and sharing.
Over the course of four sessions—including one dedicated to children—the program sparked dialogue, creativity, and connection through food.
