Abanob Ataia (Architect and Projects Coordinator)
Abanob Ataia is an architect and designer with a strong commitment to architectural research, design, and community-focused development. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Architectural Design from the American University of Sharjah and has built a multidisciplinary practice rooted in cultural production, adaptive reuse, and environmental engagement. He currently holds the position of Architect and Project Coordinator at the Sharjah Architecture Triennial, where he contributes to the design and execution of architectural and curatorial projects. Abanob was a core member of the team behind the Triennial’s first and second editions, playing a key role in initiatives that emphasise research, community involvement, and environmental sustainability. His experience spans a range of scales and typologies from renovation projects that now house the Triennial’s headquarters to landscape design and the production of the Sharjah Art Foundation Biennial. Through his work, Abanob continues to explore the intersections of architecture, art, and public engagement within the built environment.
