Neera Adarkar (Chairperson, SoEA) is a practicing architect and urbanist. She received an Honorary Doctorate from Katholieke University, Belgium and the Distinguished Alumnus Award, IIT Bombay. Neera is a co-founder of Society for Environment and Architecture, and Adarkar Associates whose activities span architecture, planning, and urban research. She has taught at Sir JJ College of Architecture, Academy of Architecture and Rizvi College of Architecture, Mumbai. She has co-authored and edited four books on Mumbai and Mumbai region.
